Week 7A: Engaging Your Customer

I chose the businesses I did because they are all in some way an inspiration to what I want for my business. Many of them are also successful businesses that started really small and are now well known over social media. This feature would be useful when trying to network. By acknowledging another brand that is similar to yours could bring potential new customers. Overall you're just bringing more attention to your brand allowing more growth.

Week 3A: Communication- Business and Consumers

One of the most frustrating times I ever had when trying to purchase a product was just a little over a year ago. I wanted to buy myself a new phone for my birthday, I had gone into the store previously and a worker told me that I could get a better deal if I called and ordered one through the phone. To begin with, it took 30 minutes to actually get on the phone with a representative which was already a long time for me. After that they began to ask me what it was I wanted to do. I then proceeded to tell her I was looking to upgrade my phone but I didn't want to pay more than x amount a month. She then told me to stay on the line to see what she could do. Week 16B: Planning Your Future Strategy & Wrapping up the Class

As we close out this semester to remember I can certainly say I've gained new knowledge form this class!  To begin with, I wanted to take this class because I do plan on starting a business in the future and I know how important it is to use social media effectively to help your business progress. As surprising as it is to many I'm a Gen Z with no social media. For my personal life, I never saw social media as something that was necessary but rather a big distraction for me. However, throughout my college career, I have been reminded of how essential it is to incorporate it into the marketing mix of your business. I don't think I will ever be into using social media for my personal life I can proudly say that I have changed the way I view it. With so many people nowadays making a living off of social media they still have a brand whether the brand is their face or a product/service.
