Week 3A: Communication- Business and Consumers

One of the most frustrating times I ever had when trying to purchase a product was just a little over a year ago. I wanted to buy myself a new phone for my birthday, I had gone into the store previously and a worker told me that I could get a better deal if I called and ordered one through the phone. To begin with, it took 30 minutes to actually get on the phone with a representative which was already a long time for me. After that they began to ask me what it was I wanted to do. I then proceeded to tell her I was looking to upgrade my phone but I didn't want to pay more than x amount a month. She then told me to stay on the line to see what she could do. Once again I waited 30 minutes only to be hung up on! I tried calling back right after, the next morning, afternoon, etc. For two whole days, I couldn't get in contact with anyone. Week 16B: Planning Your Future Strategy & Wrapping up the Class

As we close out this semester to remember I can certainly say I've gained new knowledge form this class!  To begin with, I wanted to take this class because I do plan on starting a business in the future and I know how important it is to use social media effectively to help your business progress. As surprising as it is to many I'm a Gen Z with no social media. For my personal life, I never saw social media as something that was necessary but rather a big distraction for me. However, throughout my college career, I have been reminded of how essential it is to incorporate it into the marketing mix of your business. I don't think I will ever be into using social media for my personal life I can proudly say that I have changed the way I view it. With so many people nowadays making a living off of social media they still have a brand whether the brand is their face or a product/service.
