Week 5A: Defining Your Target Market

Subway is more of your traditional fast-food chain, having global stores. Priding themselves on how fast they can get you your food and how low their prices are. Their demographic would be someone between the ages of 17 and 40 either in school or working and making between 30,000 - 80,000. Psychographics being people who are health conscious and concerned with their appearance. They are also busy people looking to find cheap and healthy food. The company as a whole is more into the corporate world working to help charities and communities clearly displaying all that they do on their site.

Hungry Bear is a single mom and pop operation owned and operated by people from the area with a love and passion for sandwiches. Serving the highest quality subs with fresh and never frozen food. They provide large portions of both sandwiches and salads. Their demographic being someone between 20 and 40 who are working and have enough money to go out they are also people who enjoy trying new food. They prioritize high quality and dine locally trying new places. The people dining here have more money to spend and don't prioritize healthy food. This shop is focused on providing the best quality subs with big portions and providing a great experience to their customers.

I think that both these sandwich places want to provide high-quality food that has healthy options. However, I think they are completely different. One seems to be more focused on sales and their image since they are a big global franchise. The other being a mom and pop who want top-quality and are looking to provide an experience to their customers. Also, the subways site is geared towards all the charity work they do and how they help in their community. Whereas hungry bear is focused on their products providing a menu and links to their social media where you can see peoples post on their experience.
